About Us

Find That Ingredient was started by people who are passionate about cooking and wanted easier access to ingredients. We aim to connect people with their local food stores, and thereby help them to experiment with lesser known ingredients, or perhaps impress dinner guests with dishes made from unusual vegetarian ingredients. FTI is designed to fill in the missing link between customer and supplier, by putting ingredients and stockists all on one easy to use website and, moreover, giving customers access to retailers that actually stock the produce they are seeking.

However, if what you're looking for isn't available, then FTI can still help. By registering as Food Detective you can let us know of any ingredients we have missed, new ones introduced by a TV chef or in a recently purchased recipe book. Based on the information you give us, we will embark on a search on your behalf, enlisting other food detectives to help us in our hunt for your ingredient.
